Festivity: National Marinera Contest Departament: La Libertad Date: 20 - 2 Place: Trujillo Description: The club Libertad, one of the more prestige institutions in Trujillo, is in charge to organise the National Marinera Contest. In November of 1960, took place the first edition of this festival that has become an event of national importance; it includes, a series of parallel activities like the famous Celebration of the Perol, in the Club Libertad, the Festival of Peñas Criollas, the contest "Champion of Champions" of Peruvian Paso Horses, and much more.
