You will be welcomed at Lima airport by our representative who will then transfer you in a private vehicle to your selected hotel in Lima.
In the morning or afternoon (your choice), you will be picked up from your hotel and you will begin your city tour of Lima, allowing you the opportunity to explore the old and the new Lima on a sightseeing journey. The city tour starts with a visit to the historic Plaza de Armas, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the center of the Plaza is an elaborate bronze fountain dating from 1560. Also located in the Plaza is the Cathedral, one of the most impressive in all of South America, and next to it is the Archbishop’s Palace.
Then you will visit the 17th-century Monastery of San Francisco, famous for its Sevilian tile work, paneled ceiling, and Spanish catacombs in the basement. You will also visit the most traditional residential areas in Lima: the Olive Grove of the San Isidro district, the Miraflores neighborhood, and Larcomar Shopping Center, all distinctive tourist centers of contemporary Lima.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

In the morning, you will be transferred to Lima airport where you will take your flight to Cusco.
Upon your arrival to Cusco city, our local representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to relax and acclimatize to the high altitude.
Overnight in Cusco
In the afternoon, one of our local guides will take you on a half day tour of the city of Cusco.
You will be shown the exact center of the legendary Inca Empire, the Plaza de Armas. You will see many amazing sights including the Cusco Cathedral (built on top of the ruins of the Inca Palace), the old town with its magnificent renovated colonial buildings and the Sacsayhuaman, an Inca ruin, located approximately 3 kilometers above Cusco. Sacsayhuaman also offers a fabulous view of the entire city. Later in the tour, you will visit Tambomachay, the bath of the Inca; Kenko (or “Qenco”; a rocky promontory of holes, canals and steps), and Puca Pucara (a ruin of a small fort).
In the late afternoon you will return to Cusco where you can relax, and enjoy the local food and exciting nightlife.
Overnight in Cusco
After your breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco by our representative. You will be taken along a road that winds over the mountains north of Cusco. On the way you will stop at a point known as El Mirador, from where we will be able to see the whole of the Sacred Valley and listen to the history of the Incas.
Later in the day, you will go towards Pisac, where there is a peculiar market that deserves to be visited. It is only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Here, you will have the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of fine crafts of various kinds, for example, ponchos, blankets, vases, hats and much more. You will have free time to walk around and do some shopping. Afterwards you will be taken to have lunch in a nice local restaurant to enjoy some great Andean food.
After lunch you will continue the tour and be driven along the Urubamba River towards the town of Ollantaytambo. Here you will visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo, an important Inca construction built during the Inca’s most powerful times.
After the tour you will take the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes (Optional upgrade: Vistadome or Hiram Bingham train).
On arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight in Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, you will take one of the buses up the steep mountain to the famous town of Machu Picchu, also known as, the Lost City of the Incas.
You will have a 2 hour tour of Machu Picchu. You will have time to explore the ruins by yourself after the tour (Optional: hike up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain).
Machu Picchu is a magical, mysterious place that for nearly a century has intrigued archaeologists and visitors alike. Perched atop a steep, emerald green peak 8,000 feet high in the Andes in southern Peru, it is reachable only by a long road that zigzags up the slope from the roaring Urubamba river, or alternatively, by hiking for days along the challenging Inca Trail. Visitors to Machu Picchu will see well-preserved ruins hidden among the majestic Andes: palaces, baths, temples, tombs, sundials and farming terraces, along with llamas that roam among hundreds of gray granite houses.
Lunch is included in Aguas Calientes (Optional upgrade: lunch in the luxury Belmond Sanctuary Lodge located just outside of Machu Picchu).
In the late afternoon, you will return to Cusco on the Expedition train. On arrival to Cusco, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

SOUTH VALLEY & ILLAPAMPA – DAY 1

Early morning departure for the province of Quispicanchis, home to the magnificent Ausangate, the Rainbow Mountain of Peru, and countless other natural wonders. Along the way we`ll stop at two beautifully restored colonial churches and scenic lookouts. We`ll arrive at our trek departure point midday, and break for a tasty picnic lunch before setting out for our campsite for the night, Illapampa.
Our hike begins with a moderate ascent, then continues through gently sloping meadows filled with grazing alpacas and llamas. We`ll camp for the night near the traditional home of an alpaca farming family, and speak with them a bit about their lifestyle and land.
Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner prepared by our cook using local ingredients, then settle into your comfy tent for the evening, or sip a hot drink and enjoy the incredibly starry sky above.
Overnight in campsite
ILLAMPAMPA – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN
After a hearty breakfast set out on for Peru`s Rainbow Mountain! Ascend through dark red mountains, with views of snowy peaks in the close distance. After 1.5-2 hours we`ll arrive at Vinicunca pass, directly facing the colorful mountain.
Enjoy time to explore on your own, take photos and enjoy incredible views of the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), Ausangate, and multiple other peaks that dominate the area. After a break for lunch, we`ll begin the return hike, arriving at your Cusco hotel in the early evening.
Overnight in Cusco
In the morning, you will be transferred to the bus station where you will take the sightseeing bus to Puno. On the way there, you will have a full day tour and visit Pukara, La Raya, Sicuani (buffet lunch included), Raqchi and Andahuaylillas.
After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Puno.
Overnight in Puno
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Puno in the morning, to take a two-hour motor boat excursion on the waters of Lake Titicaca to the unique Floating “Islands” of the Uros. These ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe, have built their own “islands” by periodically adding new layers of a type of reed unique to the area called “Totora”. Their homes and boats are also made from this material.
You will then proceed to Taquile islands, where its inhabitants are dedicated to agriculture and have developed an original form of “communal tourism”, in which visitors share their food, homes, customs and traditions.
Lunch included on Taquile Island.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight in Puno
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Juliaca airport to take your flight to Lima.
