Day 1

Arrival in Lima and Lima City Tour

You will be welcomed at Lima airport by our representative who will then transfer you in a private vehicle to your selected hotel in Lima.
In the morning or afternoon (your choice), you will be picked up from your hotel and you will begin your city tour of Lima, allowing you the opportunity to explore the old and the new Lima on a sightseeing journey. The city tour starts with a visit to the historic Plaza de Armas, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the center of the Plaza is an elaborate bronze fountain dating from 1560. Also located in the Plaza is the Cathedral, one of the most impressive in all of South America, and next to it is the Archbishop's Palace.

Then you will visit the 17th-century Monastery of San Francisco, famous for its Sevilian tile work, paneled ceiling, and Spanish catacombs in the basement. You will also visit the most traditional residential areas in Lima: the Olive Grove of the San Isidro district, the Miraflores neighborhood, and Larcomar Shopping Center, all distinctive tourist centers of contemporary Lima.

Day 2

Flight Lima to Cusco

In the morning you will be transferred to Lima airport where you will take your flight to Cusco.

Upon your arrival to Cusco city, our local representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to relax and acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day 3

Cusco City and Surrounding Ruins Tour

In the afternoon, one of our local guides will take you on a half day tour of the city of Cusco.

You will be shown the exact center of the legendary Inca Empire, the Plaza de Armas. There, one can find the Spanish cathedral later built on top of the ruins of the Inca Palace. Next stop will be the old town with its magnificent renovated colonial buildings. You will also visit Sacsayhuaman, a ruins site located approximately 3 kilometers from Cusco. Sacsayhuaman also offers a fabulous view of the entire city. After that, the tour will stop shortly in Tambomachay, the bath of the Inca; Kenko, the giant rock whose niches and gaps were carved in an eccentric way; and Puca Pucara, the ruins of a fort.

Return to Cusco where you can relax, and enjoy the local food and exciting nightlife.

Day 4

Sacred Valley Tour

After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel by our local guide. You will take a road that winds over the mountains north of Cusco, stopping at a point known as El Mirador, from where you will be able to see the whole of the Sacred Valley and receive a good insight of the region’s Inca history. Afterwards, you will be driven towards Pisac, famous for its unique and traditional market. You will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of fine crafts including woven goods, sweaters, jewelry, and much more. After some shopping, you will be able to enjoy classic Andean food in a nice local restaurant.

Next, you will drive along the Urubamba River towards the town of Ollantaytambo and visit the ruins, an important Inca construction built during the Inca's heydays.

After the tour you will take the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes. (Please ask if you would like to upgrade to the Vistadome train)
 
On arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

Day 5

Machu Picchu Tour

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the bus station to drive up the steep mountain to the famous town of Machu Picchu, also known as, the Lost City of the Incas.

You will have a 2-3 hour excursion of Machu Picchu. You will have time to explore the ruins by yourself after the tour. (Please ask if you would like to hike up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain).
Machu Picchu is a magical, mysterious place that for nearly a century has intrigued archaeologists and visitors alike. Perched atop a steep, emerald green peak 8,000 feet high in the Andes in southern Peru, it is reachable only by a long road that zigzags up the slope from the roaring Urubamba river, or alternatively, by hiking for days along the challenging Inca Trail. Visitors to Machu Picchu will see well-preserved ruins hidden among the majestic Andes: palaces, baths, temples, tombs, sundials and farming terraces, along with llamas that roam among hundreds of gray granite houses.

Lunch is included in Aguas Calientes (upgrade to the luxury Belmond Sanctuary Lodge is available, which allows you to have lunch and go back into Machu Picchu)
 
In the late afternoon you will return to Cusco on the Expedition train. On arrival to Cusco, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 6

2 Day Rainbow Mountain Tour - Day 1

SOUTH VALLEY & ILLAPAMPA – DAY 1
Early morning departure for the province of Quispicanchis, home to the magnificent Ausangate, the Rainbow Mountain of Peru, and countless other natural wonders. Along the way we`ll stop at two beautifully restored colonial churches and scenic lookouts. We`ll arrive at our trek departure point midday, and break for a tasty picnic lunch before setting out for our campsite for the night, Illapampa.
 
Our hike begins with a moderate ascent, then continues through gently sloping meadows filled with grazing alpacas and llamas. We`ll camp for the night near the traditional home of an alpaca farming family, and speak with them a bit about their lifestyle and land.
 
Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner prepared by our cook using local ingredients, then settle into your comfy tent for the evening, or sip a hot drink and enjoy the incredibly starry sky above.

Rainbow Mountain Tour
Day 7

2 Day Rainbow Mountain Tour - Day 2

ILLAMPAMPA – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN - DAY 2
After a hearty breakfast set out on for Peru`s Rainbow Mountain! Ascend through dark red mountains, with views of snowy peaks in the close distance. After 1.5-2 hours we`ll arrive at Vinicunca pass, directly facing the colorful mountain.

Enjoy time to explore on your own, take photos and enjoy incredible views of the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), Ausangate, and multiple other peaks that dominate the area. After a break for lunch, we`ll begin the return hike, arriving at your Cusco hotel in the early evening.

Day 8

Pukara, La Raya, Sicuani, Raqchi and Andahuaylillas Tour

In the morning, you will be transferred to the bus station where you will take the sightseeing bus to Puno. On the way there, you will have a full day tour and visit Pukara, La Raya, Sicuani (buffet lunch included), Raqchi and Andahuaylillas.
 
After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Puno.

Lake Titicaca tour
Day 9

Lake Titicaca Tour - Uros and Taquile Islands

Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Puno in the morning, to take a two-hour boat tour on the waters of Lake Titicaca to the unique Floating "Islands" of the Uros. The ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe, have built their own "islands" by gradually adding new layers of a type of reed unique to the area called "Totora". Their homes and boats are also made from this material.
 
We will then proceed to the Taquile islands, where its inhabitants are dedicated to agriculture and have developed an original form of "communal tourism", in which visitors share their food, homes, customs and traditions.
