Day 1Cusco City Tour and Surrounding Ruins

Upon your arrival to Cusco, you will be greeted at the airport by one of our Peru Vacation Tours representatives and transferred to your hotel in Cusco.

In the afternoon, one of our local guides will take you on a half day tour of the city of Cusco. You will be shown the exact center of the Inca Empire, the Plaza de Armas. There one can find the Cathedral built on the ruins of the Inca Palace. Next stop will be the old town with its magnificent renovated colonial buildings. Also in Cusco, we will visit Qorikancha, the Main Temple of the Incas, where Sun God is worshiped.

After, we will visit Sacsayhuaman, a ruins site located approximately 3 kilometers from Cusco. Sacsayhuaman also offers a fabulous view of the entire city. After that, the tour will stop shortly in Tambomachay, the bath of the Inca; Kenko, the giant rock whose niches and gaps were carved in an eccentric way; and Puca Pucara, the ruins of a fort.

Return to Cusco where you can relax, enjoy the local food and exciting nightlife.

Day 2Horseback Riding and ATV Bike Tour

Horseback Riding Tour

Our guide will provide information about the horse riding before starting the tour. Then we will take a private transport to the Ranch, located around Villa San Blas outside of the City of Cusco. Upon arrival, we will meet the muleteer and the horses. Once we ride the horses, the guide will make a demonstration of how to control the horse and how to use the safety equipment, helmets and first aid kit, among others.

Then, we will go to Kusilluchayoc, Temple of the Moon, Zone X and finally we will visit the fabulous ‘Balcón del Diablo’, in each of these places stops it will be an explanation from the Guide.

In the Balcón del Diablo we will pass through a natural cave formed thousands of years ago, which was used by the Incas as a Sacred place. Finally, we will return to the Ranch.

ATV Bike Tour Tticapata

After lunch, the excursion on ATVs around the Cusco circuit in Laguna and Pumamarka will begin, which lasts half a day. The adventure will become unforgettable when you ride the ATV while getting in touch with the nature of the area.

The adventure will begin in Tticapata, Cusco – San Sebastian, by dirt tracks and crossing the Tticapata canyon, discovering natural springs, visiting the Inca palace of Pumamarka, the peasant communities of Pumamarka and the community of Yuncaypata, crossing a beautiful green landscape and contemplating the magnificent lagoon of Puyoc.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 3Chuquicahuana Water Rafting

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel. We will take the route to the south valley of Cusco for approximately 2 hours, finally we arrive at our private camp, where we show access to all our services and facilities such as sauna, dining room, dressing rooms, showers of cold, hot water and toilet services then we meet to deliver the necessary equipment rafting such as wetsuit, jackets or windbreakers, life jackets helmets and paddles.

Once changed and with your belongings stored in your lockers, we will board our transport that will take us to the beginning of our rafting tour for around 15 minutes to the upper part of the river in the Chuquicahuana section with intensity rapids (I, II, III). Before the rafting starts you will be given a talk on safety, navigation and river technique.

At the end of the tour we will go to our camp to enjoy a nice lunch, accompanied by cold and hot drinks.

You will be transferred back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 4Ferrata and Zipline at the Skylodge Adventure Suites

In the morning, you will be picked up and transferred to the Sacred Valley and the location of the Skylodge Adventure Suites.

This tour has been made to offer an amazing mountain experience for people without any experience. It will be an experience of a lifetime.

It is a combo of both activities. You will climb 400 meters via ferrata and descend the mountain using 6 zipwires (150 mts to 700 mts).

After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco. Option to stay in the Skylodge Adventure Suites. Ask for more details.

Day 5Sacred Valley Tour

After your breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco by our representative. You will be taken along a road that winds over the mountains north of Cusco. On the way you will stop at a point known as El Mirador, from where we will be able to see the whole of the Sacred Valley and listen to the history of the Incas.

Later in the day, you will go towards Pisac, where we will visit the Pisac Archaeological Park. Here there are many different buildings, plazas, temples, pools and other structures, all built between the 10th and 11th centuries AD. After we will visit a peculiar market in Pisac. Here, you will have the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of fine crafts of various kinds, for example, ponchos, blankets, vases, hats and much more. You will have free time to walk around and do some shopping. Afterwards you will be taken to have lunch in a nice local restaurant to enjoy some great Andean food.

After lunch you will continue the tour and be driven along the Urubamba River towards the town of Ollantaytambo. Here you will visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo, an important Inca construction built during the Inca’s most powerful times.

After the tour you will take the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes (Optional upgrade: Vistadome or Hiram Bingham train).

On arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

Day 6 Machu Picchu Tour

After breakfast, you will take one of the buses up the steep mountain to the famous town of Machu Picchu, also known as, the Lost City of the Incas.

You will be taken on an official tour of Machu Picchu to see the most important parts of the Inca city. (Optional: hike up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. This will allow you to have more time in Machu Picchu).

Machu Picchu is a magical, mysterious place that for nearly a century has intrigued archaeologists and visitors alike. Perched atop a steep, emerald green peak 8,000 feet high in the Andes in southern Peru, it is reachable only by a long road that zigzags up the slope from the roaring Urubamba river, or alternatively, by hiking for days along the challenging Inca Trail. Visitors to Machu Picchu will see well-preserved ruins hidden among the majestic Andes: palaces, baths, temples, tombs, sundials and farming terraces, along with llamas that roam among hundreds of gray granite houses.

Lunch is included in Aguas Calientes (Optional upgrade: lunch in the luxury Belmond Sanctuary Lodge located just outside of Machu Picchu).

In the late afternoon, you will return to Cusco on the Expedition train. On arrival to Cusco, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

After breakfast, you will be picked up and transferred from your hotel to Cusco airport to take your flight to Lima and onward to your next destination.
