These towers are located on a small peninsula surrounded by the Umayo lagoon where we can appreciate its natural beauty as well as architecture and engineering of the time.

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the port, where you have some minutes to buy some snacks or some presents for the family where you are staying on Amantani island (optional gift).
After leaving the port, our first stop is on the floating island Uros, where there is a tribe living on real floating islands made by themselves using reeds that are growing in shallow parts of Lake Titicaca. Then we continue to Amantani place where you stay in a family house, after lunch in the family house, we will meet and walk to the top of the island. After one hour walking you´ll get to Pachatata the Pre-Inca temple, which is probably the best place to see the immense width of Lake Titicaca.
On this island, the Amantani people have a Quechua origin and are mainly farmers. The most important crops in Amantani are Andean potatoes.
In the evening, you will share dinner with a local family and you have the option to meet and dance with the local community.
The houses are very simple and services are basic. There is no running water, no electricity and of course no toilets or showers, so this is a true experience in to how the local people live.
